dotMARC v0.8.1: DKIM records filled in for you, and a tidier API description
A small release after v0.8.0, from setting up DKIM with the new push on real domains.
DKIM records filled in for you
Configure selectors on a domain's DKIM check now does more of the typing:
- Records already in DNS are filled in. For any mail platform, a selector that's already published starts with its current CNAME target or TXT value, and says so. Nothing you've typed or saved is replaced.
- Paste from Microsoft 365. Microsoft 365 domains get a box for the output of
Get-DkimSigningConfig, or the Defender portal's Publish CNAMEs text. dotMARC reads both selectors' targets from it and fills them in. - The known part of a Microsoft 365 target. With nothing published yet, each selector starts with the part that
follows from the domain, such as
selector1-contoso-com._domainkey., and a note on what to add. The rest (your tenant's name and a letter Microsoft assigns) can only come from Microsoft 365, and dotMARC won't save a target that stops at._domainkey.
The dialog's rows line up properly too: each selector's type and value sit side by side, with the selector named in the value's label. See DKIM records.
A tidier API description
The OpenAPI document at /api/v1/openapi.json now groups operations into Domains, Imports, Groups and tags
and Alerts, and describes whole numbers and decimals as numbers rather than as text matching a pattern. API tools
show cleaner types as a result. The API reference on this site is built from the same document.
Upgrading
There are no database migrations and no new settings. Redeploy and you're done.
